Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Warehouse Management: Possess knowledge of: regulatory and reporting requirements; Warehouse Key Performance Indicators; warehouse equipment maintenance procedures; basic warehouse activities. To be able to: Evaluates the cost efficiency of warehouses and makes improvements as needed. Consults on alternative approaches to stocking and location control and their pros and cons. Compares and contrasts diverse types of replenishment planning. Oversees and manages the full spectrum of operating one or more distribution centers. Coaches others on alternative distribution designs and considerations for demand and source locations. Participates in the design and deployment of a complete warehouse network at the company wide. Quality Control: Possess knowledge of: auditing and reporting requirements; maintaining inventory quality including food for storing and processing To be able to: Designs, develops and implements compliance testing criteria and tools. Reports on inspection findings, common issues, and recommendations. Oversees quality control activities in the areas of inbound, inventory and delivery. Resolves complicated quality problems; cooperates with technologists when necessary. Drives compliance with supply chain procedures related to product quality. *Coaches personnel on how to use tools and equipment for quality inspection. Evaluates commodity data at a network level and offers recommendations. Builds succession plans to support business continuity. Food Safety: Possess knowledge of: Cold Chain Policies; Sanitary and Safe Food Handling Practices; personal protective equipment policies. To be able to: Consults on the implementation of food handling and sanitary techniques in a variety of settings. Conducts proper risk assessments to guarantee the safety of food handling and delivery. Establishes standardized processes and best practices for food handling. Creates ways to enhance current food handling methods. Creates training sessions for the team on ServSafe, the organization's food handling standards, and local regulations. Promotes the improvement of food handling procedures. Data & Digital Literacy: Possess Knowledge of: Data collection modes, techniques, and tools; data analytics & visualization tools and techniques; existing and upcoming digital applications; technology innovation trends & industry benchmarks; data quality governance. To be able to: Articulate the need and requirements for advanced analytical tools to the appropriate teams for development. Apply intermediate analytics techniques to enable real-time decisions and data-led actionable insights and ability to deploy proper models for analysis. Validates quality of data collected Identify potential challenges and introduces innovative technologies while planning for effective change management. Partner with Data Science teams to build, test, and implement solutions in support of business objectives. Analyze and create reports by using existing models/templates. Apply digital techniques and tools for effective representation of the data to stakeholders. Partnership & Collaboration: Possess knowledge of: Stakeholder identification and mapping; stakeholder analysis; stakeholder communication; stakeholder engagement techniques; stakeholder management effectiveness tools and methods; fluency in many specialized business vernaculars. Evaluates the pros and cons of various audit data analysis methods for the organization. Teaches others how to review and interpret the report and logged data Implements procedures and policies for record maintenance Oversees data gathering and documentation within the area of work Ripening: Possess knowledge of: Fruit ripening processes; color variation guidelines various produce product quality; ordering and scheduling procedures; proper produce handling procedures. To be able to: Leads and oversees the fruit ripening program by giving guidance and input on bananas, avocados, pears, and other ripening produce conditioning and ripening. Utilizes data and reporting to augment expected produce demand forecast in order to meet target color and maturity requirements for arrival. Oversees the ordering and scheduling of incoming trucks delivering bananas, avocados, pears, and other ripening fruit; identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and product quality. Develops training materials and techniques for distribution center and retail staff on proper handling procedures. Utilizes the optimal ripening technique possible, taking into account the climatic and geographical impacts on fruits and vegetables. Operational Excellence: Possess knowledge of: regulatory and reporting requirements; Standard Operating Procedure documentation; key functional roles within department. To be able to: Coaches others to consider all major operational functions and cross functional issues. Monitors industry trends, key players, and major competitors; develops strategies accordingly. Leads evaluations of organization's operating functions versus those of the industry. Consults with and advises all major functions. Educates others in operational strategies and the support needed for them. Leads discussions on the evolution and impact of technology, present and future. Guides and provides recommendations to peers and/or reports in operational execution and utilization of One Best Way documentation. Oversees proper safety and security procedures to ensure compliance adherence. Sets and oversees all operational routines for departments and staff. Monitors and predicts industry regulation changes and makes corresponding action plans. Business Process Improvement: Possess knowledge of: Process improvement techniques and methodologies; change management principles; process analysis processes. To be able to: Investigates new ways to align business processes with organizational goals. Monitors Business Process Improvement application trends in various fields such as financial and customer service. Modifies Business Process Improvement approaches; develops innovative approaches to achieve improvement. Leads in the development of Business Process Improvement best practices within the organization. Leads in defining organizational strategic goals, purposes, and customers. The annual salary range for this position is $89,500.00-$192,500.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Food Science, or related field and 3 years' experience in food manufacturing or production quality control/assurance, food safety or related field OR 5 years' experience in food manufacturing or production quality control/assurance, food safety or related field

3 years supervisory experience or experience leading cross functional teams.
