UCLA Health Medicare Advantage Operations Project Manager in Los Angeles, California

As a key member of our Medicare Advantage Operations team, you will partner with business and technical teams as well as product owners/managers/directors to achieve project objectives and deliverables that include project schedule management, scope, IT and business resources, identification and mitigation of risks and issues to ensure successful completion of initiatives. You will:

  • Direct large-scale, complex projects at a strategic business level

  • Oversee significant, system-wide projects

  • Ensure achievement of project commitments

  • Develop the project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, contingency plan, and related project management artifacts

  • Lead the design, testing, planning, and implementation of complex projects

  • Build, lead, and coach project teams throughout project lifecycles

  • Continuously improves project management toolkits and methodologies

  • Present reports that define plans, problems, and resolutions

  • Identify opportunities and lead organizational change

Salary Range: $64,800 - $137,600 AnnuallyQualifications

We're seeking a self-motivated, service-oriented, results-driven individual with:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Health Care or other related field required or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Medicare or Managed Care environment managing enrollment, claims, premium billing or encounters project is required

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with CMS processes in a Medicare or Managed Care environment required

  • Project Management Professional certification is a plus

  • Experience managing vendors to contractual requirements

  • Knowledge of the health care model, capitation, and other managed care IPA and provider reimbursement methodologies

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to analyze/organize complex federal and private insurance regulations

  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools

  • Strong critical thinking, problem identification, resolution, and analytical skills

  • Ability to adapt operational procedures to changing operational needs

  • Ability to identify and implement methods and systems to improve efficiency
