Job Summary

The Lead Systems Configuration Product Analyst manages the core system application and affiliated products for Configuration. This position collaborates with product vendors and internal technical resources on implementing product changes, resolving defects, upgrade support and certifies the product is functioning to support the business needs. The Lead Systems Configuration Product Analyst influences change and recommends enhancements to business and system processes to improve quality, functionality and outcomes in support of enterprise objectives. This position provides instruction to end users in the use of the application software, answers questions and assists in resolving problems regarding the methods and procedures for using application software. The Lead Systems Configuration Product Analyst provides technical support, analytical and problem solving expertise, effectively communicates solutions through review meetings, written specifications, workflow diagrams, and/or proof of concept demonstrations. This position is responsible for the daily workflow and leading the work of assigned staff. This role will mentor, coach, act as a resource and provide feedback on performance of assigned staff.

Duties

Designs, develops and presents proof of concepts of system features and functionalities to support business needs and issues resolution. Reviews technical, planning and product documents to ensure accuracy and to ensure impacts are identified, understood, and communicated.

Leads and facilitates configuration design and business process alignment sessions; solicits, collects and documents critical information from stakeholders related to Custom solutions.

Conducts testing and validation of new features, enhancements and issues for reliability and accuracy, documents results and outcomes. Identifies issues and provides resolutions.

Provides input to leadership for establishing and developing standards, guidelines, and best practices of the system. Documents business and functional requirements, develops configuration requirements, creates and maintains system process documentation.

Oversees and manages the configuration product environments and change management process both internally and at the enterprise level. Submits and tracks product tickets for defects and enhancements.

Manages the maintenance of the master reference data tables, code sets and related updates, file load packages and product subscriptions.

Manages system upgrades and implementations, representing the Core Systems Configuration team and the Enterprise Configuration department.

Manages complex projects, engaging and updating key stakeholders, developing timelines, leads others to complete deliverables on time and ensures implementation upon approval.

Leads the work of assigned staff; regularly assigns and checks the work of others, providing guidance, training and feedback on performance to department management. Oversees the daily office workflow, develops and recommends enhancements to process and procedures.

In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.

Experience

Required:

At least 5 years of experience in a Systems Configuration, Claims or other Operational department.

At least 1 year of lead experience (process, program, or staff).

Knowledge of and experience with application development and support life cycle including change management processes.

Experience with methods and techniques of eliciting, analyzing and documenting business requirements and processes.

Experience in analytical methods for studying problems, developing alternatives and recommendations.

Proficiency and understanding of the application various coding sets such as in International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD)-10 CM and ICD-10 PCS, Common Procedural Technology (CPT), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS), Revenue, Diagnosis Related Group (DRG), Redbook and pricing methodologies.

Knowledge of Commercial Health Insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and benefit administration in a Managed Care Services organization.

Working knowledge of configuring QNXT or similar database management system and applications for various business areas such as eligibility, enrollment, provider contracts, plan benefits and claims.

Knowledge of principles and techniques of software and system quality assurance and testing.
