Robert Half Fund Accountant in Los Angeles, California
Description
Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a strong Sr. Fund Accountant to work with our university medical client on a 3-4 month primarily remote engagement beginning immediately. The Sr. Fund Accountant will primarily be responsible for post-award administration for intra/extramurally funded research awards. Responsibilities of this role include:
Analyze problems / issues of diverse scope and determine solutions.
Work on complex proposals such as grants / contracts which require task budgets, option years, multiple investigators and multiple sub awards.
Organize, plan, establish and monitor fiscal budget control of contracts and grants administration, gifts, endowments, and privately funded projects for faculty research programs.
Provide guidance and counsel on complex research administration matters, including compliance regulations, to principal investigators and department administrators.
Requirements
Three to five years of Research Administration experience.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate information in a timely, professional manner and establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships.
Demonstrated knowledge of effective grant funding processes, procedures and techniques.
Ability to perform complex financial analysis and customized reporting.
Analytical skills to assess financial information, define problems, formulate logical solutions, develop alternative solutions, make recommendations, and initiate corrective actions.
Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft suite software, especially Excel, to perform daily tasks efficiently and accurately.
