UCLA Health Clinical Lab Scientist, Specialist in Los Angeles, California
Description
Under general supervision of the Laboratory Manager, performs independently a wide variety of technical procedures in BM/Stem Cell Transplant Laboratory. Job duties include but are not limited to:
cell therapy product processing
preparing reagents
performing quality control and calibration for test systems
maintaining and repairing laboratory equipment
performing data entry
The CLS Specialist tasks are identified with an asterisk (*). CLS Specialist participates in quality assurance by performing audits, investigating and reporting occurrences, and assisting in inspections. Other duties may include ordering new equipment, preparing monthly workload summaries, and overseeing new projects. Must be able to work weekends, holidays and other shifts as needed (on-call). On a daily basis, assess overall workload of the laboratory and assist coworkers without being reassigned by the lab manager.
Salary Range: $56.25-$72.42/hourly
Qualifications
Required:
CA Clinical Lab Scientist License
4 years experience as CLS
Bachelor's degree
