    Position description

The Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology at the University of California, Los Angeles is seeking an Assistant Project Scientist position at 100% percent time.

The Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology the University of California, Los Angeles, seeks applicants for an Assistant Project Scientist position. The candidate must hold a PhD in a biology-related field and training in multi-omics systems analyses.

The candidate must have research experience in bioinformatics, computational biology and systems biology with demonstrated ability to conduct high-level research on complex diseases and develop new computational methodologies and tools for multiomics network modeling and mechanistic studies. Experience in bulk and single cell multi-omics integration, network modeling, and microbiome-centric omics analysis is preferred. The candidate should be highly motivated, independent and productive with a strong publication record. Evidence of leadership qualities such as mentoring students/lab members and/or leading teams to completion of projects and/or leading grant applications will be considered favorably.
