Lyft Senior Financial Analyst in Longueuil, Canada

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will help assess the financial situation of the organization and find strategic solutions to achieve accounting and financial objectives. You will have to work closely with different teams as well as members of management in order to share your analyzes and recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the operations of the organization by providing analysis, forecasts and expert reports on the growth of our products;

  • Collect, process, organize and analyze the organization's financial data;

  • Serve as a financial partner for LUS' product, engineering, business operations, and accounting teams to provide financial perspective for the near and long-term growth strategy for hardware and software products, while supporting a growing business development program;

  • Build and maintain models to inform investment prioritization efforts across planning cycles;

  • Prepare and conduct periodic financial analyses, with a focus on key areas of intervention;

  • Maintain a deep understanding of our finance processes and actively contribute to improving them across the FP&A organization to accommodate business growth.

  • Develop from the ground up robust and scalable processes to inform forecasts and track performance;

  • Actively participate in budget processes;

  • Analyze variances between results and budget forecasts on a monthly basis and explain variances;

  • Complete various financial analyzes of varying complexity;

  • Participate in financial reviews with various stakeholders, in order to analyze the results;

  • Actively contribute to improving processes and setting up performance indicators;

  • Review transactions posted by other team members.

Experience:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting (or equivalent);

  • Have at least four (4) years of relevant experience in a manufacturing company (SME) that exports abroad and is growing rapidly,

  • Hold a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation;

  • Good command of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel;

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills;

  • Excellent sense of organization and priority management;

  • Have the concern to respect deadlines and to present with quality the work carried out;

  • Demonstrate an analytical capacity that stands out and a critical mind oriented towards continuous improvement;

  • Strategic approach to problem solving, with the aim of correcting at source;

  • Your motto is customer satisfaction, whether internal or external;

  • Be a team player who believes that success requires everyone's contribution;

  • Able to navigate gray areas and changes well;

  • Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written, is required for this position, as this role involves interactions with Lyft employees and stakeholders in other Canadian provinces as well as the offices of Lyft globally.

  • Experience with Genius and Oracle NetSuite software (asset).

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid
