GE Vernova Warehouse Material Handler in Longmont, Colorado

Job Description Summary

This position supports the stockroom/warehouse and provides back up support to the shipping /receiving departments.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Receives, unpacks, inspects, and checks incoming materials for defects overages/shortages and enter in SAP/ERP system.

  • Kits material to manufacturing and performs necessary ERP system transactions.

  • Sign for and receive incoming packages.

  • Perform and reconcile cycle counts as needed.

  • Lead the effort to continually improve efficiency and effectiveness of receiving and inspection procedures.

  • Provide support and back up for stockroom/receiving/shipping departments.

  • Pull orders and package product for shipment.

  • Interface daily with internal customers to meet business objectives and external customer requirements.

  • Create and support NCRs to coordinate supplier returns, deviation requests and help to provide vendor quality data.

  • Develop and improve written procedures and checklists.

  • Accept independent responsibility for compliance to Health, Safety, and Environment policies.

  • Process orders through small package manifest systems, FedEx/UPS/DHL both Domestic and International.

  • Document Shipments and create all necessary shipping documentation including commercial invoices and process in our ERP system (SAP).

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Minimum 1-year experience in receiving or stockroom/kitting in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. and use hand and power tools for unpacking and moving materials.

  • Willingness and ability to work overtime as required

Desired Characteristics

  • Associates degree or higher in a technical field.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical or electrical assembly.

  • Solid computer and basic math skills.

  • SAP/ERP experience.

  • Ability to read technical drawings.

  • Flexible and effective under changing conditions and different tasks, responsibilities, and people.

  • Able to multi-task while maintaining departmental quality standards.

  • Safety minded.

  • Self-motivated and easily directed.

  • Driven to build effective working relationships with coworkers, customers, and suppliers and work effectively in a team environment.

The hourly pay range for this position is $18.85 -$22.90 hr. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
