ORT FARMS LLC Retail Cashier in Long Valley, New Jersey
Ort Farms LLC, Long Valley, NJ. Work is performed onsite in the following counties: Morris. 2 Retail Cashier positions available. Temporary, full time position from 5/15/24 through 12/15/2024, 8:00 AM-7:00 PM, 35 hrs/week, overtime varies, Monday-Sunday, 35 hour workweek, store hours are 8AM-7PM, weekends required; work week, hours and start/end times vary. Workers will be paid Bi-Weekly at $16.55/hr, $24.83/hr OT, raise/bonus at employer's discretion.
Greet customers, answer customers' questions, answer incoming phone calls, check out customers, receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits, issue receipts or change due to customers, sell admission tickets to the farm and other items to customers. Help customers find the location of products and identify prices of goods. Assist with duties in other areas of the store, such as bagging and carrying out customers' items. Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts, calculate total payments received, cash checks for customers. Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas, and complete other general cleaning duties, such as mopping floors and emptying trash cans. Stock shelves & mark prices on shelves & items.
Able to lift 30lbs. No experience required, will train. Employer may make payroll deductions at employee's request.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the job. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for initial transportation and subsistence costs from the place of recruitment to the place of employment for those traveling from such a distance they are not reasonably able to return to their residence each day.
Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. H2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, & other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
