Job Title: Structural Design Engineer
Job Type: Full time; Consultant (12 months) Onsite Only
Location: Long Beach, CA 90808
Schedule: Monday to Friday; First Shift
Pay Rate: $74.76 to $82.84 per hour
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects related to new airplane development, contributing to the design and development of primary aircraft structures.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, integrate, and document structural and component level requirements to establish product design.
Utilize 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods to develop, maintain, and modify detail design and assemblies.
Provide product definition, technical guidance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including stress engineers, manufacturing engineers, and suppliers, to ensure seamless integration of structural components throughout the product lifecycle.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise and recommendations to optimize designs and resolve any issues or challenges.
Work under minimum supervision, demonstrating self-motivation and the ability to manage tasks independently.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and investigate their potential to develop concepts for future product designs that meet projected requirements.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's of Science or higher from an accredited course of study. Engineering is preferred.
5+ years’ of experience in aircraft structure, materials and properties, design criteria and release processes, including aircraft primary structure design.
5+ years’ of experience with engineering tools such as CATIA (required), ENOVIA (required), and PDM (desired)
Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills.
Pay Details: $74.76 to $82.84 per hour
