The Amazon Devices organization is looking for an analytical self-starter and creative leader to join its EU Offline Retail team and drive go-to-market efforts with our retail partners. Within Amazon Devices, the EU Offline Retail team owns the strategy and processes to ensure our retail partners in Europe are successful with Amazon devices. You will lead go-to-market readiness for our four key Amazon product categories (Echo, Fire TV, Kindle and Fire Tablets) for Offline Retail. You will also drive projects to improve how we scale our operations and tools. This role requires experience in Program Management, strong influencing skills to work with multiple teams and leaders, a strategic mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity.

Key job responsibilities

  • Represent Offline Retail across our four key Product Lines (Echo, Fire TV, Kindle, Fire Tablets) throughout the product life-cycle.

  • Program Manage new product launches for Amazon Devices in the Offline channel.

  • Identify, analyze and program manage transversal strategic projects for Offline Retail.

  • Identify process gaps, drive sustained improvements and implement new mechanisms, to reduce inefficiencies and help grow the business.

  • Work with technology, operations and business teams and influence decision-making.

  • Continuously improve your technical, retail channel, supply chain, and product knowledge.

  • Work with a broad cross-section of internal teams to execute the launch operations playbook and critical paths for offline market segments.

  • Effectively manage customer expectations and resolve conflicts that balance customer and company needs.

  • Clarify and drive project commitments as well as establish and maintain clear chains of accountability by leading and facilitating meetings with key stakeholders.

  • Own frequent reporting using centralized information repositories and/or email updates.

  • Anticipate changes and bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, balance the business needs versus technical and operational constraints; and encourage risk-taking behaviour to maximize business benefit.

A day in the life

No two days will ever be the same in this role. You will represent Offline Retail across multiple Product Lines, working on several projects and multiple product life-cycles. You will be ensuring various stakeholder groups complete launch tasks following a pre-established timeline, whilst working behind the scenes to solve problems and develop strategies, to ensure success in Offline Retail. You will become an expert on all new product launches, working closely with marketing and sales on identifying the most effective way of launching new products with retail partners. You will be the voice of Offline Retail to product teams. You will track the development roadmap of multiple new Amazon Devices products, and identify process gaps and drive projects for sustainable improvements. You will work with many teams across the Devices business, and will be a key figure in driving success across the Offline business.

Basic Qualifications

  • Several years of professional experience in Program Management.

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams.

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity to solve problems and deliver successfully with high attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in go-to-market, supporting the launch of hardware products.

  • Master's degree in Business Operations or related field, or MBA.

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization.
