The PRIME team is on a mission to completely transform the issue management function and introduce industry leading capabilities in this space that will create better customer and colleague experiences.

In this role, you’ll be leading the technical development for our initiatives with a focus on getting results quickly while building partnerships across product and engineering groups. You will be building capabilities that improve our detection time and response to operational risk events as well as be given the opportunity to work with innovative technologies such as Machine Learning models in python, Spring Boot, React.js and so much more.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Collaboration with key business partners to help drive the strategic vision, technical design, development, and delivery of strategic roadmaps and prioritized initiatives within the applications space

  • Driving key architectural decisions and design considerations to ensure system scalability and resiliency for transformation and modernization initiatives.

  • Accountability for delivery, quality, and operational metrics of a portfolio, including system performance, platform availability, operational efficiency, risk management, information security, data management as well as cost efficiency.

  • Leading a team of successful, forward-thinking, creative, multi-functional engineers to enable delivery as well as provide coaching/mentoring to promote career growth.

  • Building a culture of innovation, and development across teams, delivering dynamic software solutions, and inspiring change.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of AI/ML projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scalability across the organization.

  • Foster a culture of continuous innovation by staying abreast of the latest trends in AI/ML and actively sharing knowledge and insights to contribute to the collective growth and technical proficiency of the team.

  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to design and optimize AI/ML solutions.

  • Implement robust project management frameworks to oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of AI projects, from initial concept to deployment and evaluation.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, translating complex AI concepts into understandable and actionable insights.

  • Partners with customers and other internal teams and product managers to deliver improvements to the platform.

  • Establish and accepts responsibility for engineering practices across teams for example the code review, build and release process and the effectiveness of the retrospective.

  • Empower teams to automate demand driven scalable application deployments in test or production environments.

  • Apply specialized knowledge of industry standards or practices to assigned initiatives to identify complex and or broad problems and issues and formulate recommendations.

  • Collaborate across leadership teams to define solutions, technical implementation to drive software maturity and practices.

  • Drive the team’s technical improvements and roadmap.

  • Nurture an environment of continuous engineering improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Leadership experience in a complex technical environment and/or comparable experience

  • Minimum 8 years of proven Experience with a statistical programming language (Python or R) and experience with libraries specifically for Machine Learning or Data Analytics as well as knowledge on Hadoop/MapReduce.

  • Skilled in working with Big Data platforms and Big Data lakes.

  • Proven expertise in applying AI/ML techniques to solve complex problems, with a portfolio of projects that have delivered tangible business outcomes.

  • Hands-on experience building and delivering large scale enterprise systems/products.

  • Experience in Java, REST APIs, Spring Boot Framework, ReactJS, Redis, OpenShift, Elastic Stack, Kafka, Hive, Spark, UNIX/Linux and Oracle DB is a plus.

  • Experience attracting, hiring and retaining top engineering talent.

  • Experience leading engineering teams and in agile methodologies, have enabled DevOps mindset, processes and tools.

  • Experience building highly available and low latency distributed systems.

  • Experience building systems as service-oriented architecture and/or micro-services architecture.

  • Significant hands-on experience in application architecture / design, software development, and testing, preferably in an Agile environment within a professional environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Create and deliver effective presentations to Senior Leadership.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, or related field required; Advanced Degree preferred.

  • Financial Industry Domain Knowledge and Issue Management knowledge a bonus
