Overview

The Senior Digital Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role responsible for the ownership and strategic management of our digital channels. This includes our different web properties, SEO/SEM, paid advertising, social media, and influencer outreach. The focus is on creating and executing strategies for prospect engagement, lead generation, and optimising online customer journeys.

Objective/Purpose of the Role

The main objective of this role is to lead and innovate in digital marketing, driving lead generation and customer engagement through effective use of digital channels. The role requires a balance of strategic planning, execution, and continuous optimization of digital marketing activities aligned with our overall marketing strategy.

Accountabilities

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Comprehensive Digital Channel Management:

  • Develop and execute a detailed strategy for each digital channel, including websites, SEO/SEM, paid advertising, and social media platforms, tailored to our specific business needs and target audience.

  • Continuously analyse channel performance, implementing iterative improvements to optimise reach and engagement.

  • Website Performance Optimization:

  • Drive the enhancement of website functionality, user experience, and conversion rates.

  • Implement A/B split testing to experiment with different website layouts, content, and features to improve visitor engagement and conversion.

  • SEO/SEM and Paid Media Campaigns:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive SEO/SEM strategies to increase website visibility and traffic.

  • Oversee and optimise paid media campaigns, ensuring they align with our target audience and marketing objectives.

  • Social Media Strategy and Campaign Management:

  • Craft and execute a dynamic social media strategy that fosters community engagement and enhances brand awareness.

  • Monitor social media trends and adapt our strategy to leverage new opportunities and platforms.

  • Data-Driven Insights and Performance Optimization:

  • Regularly analyse campaign data to extract insights and identify successful elements as well as areas for improvement.

  • Utilise data to refine marketing strategies and enhance the effectiveness of future campaigns.

  • Emerging Technologies and Innovation:

  • Stay abreast of emerging digital marketing technologies and trends.

  • Evaluate new tools and platforms for potential adoption to keep our marketing strategies innovative and competitive.

  • Enhancing Customer Journey:

  • Work on integrating digital strategies to enhance the customer journey, both online and offline.

  • Leverage technology and data analytics to create a seamless and personalised customer experience.

  • Lead Generation and Conversion:

  • Implement and manage digital marketing campaigns focused on lead generation and conversion.

  • Use targeted digital strategies to attract potential leads and nurture them through the marketing funnel.

  • Collaboration and Transparency:

  • Foster a culture of collaboration and transparency within the marketing team and across the organisation.

  • Regularly communicate plans, progress, and results of digital marketing campaigns to relevant stakeholders.

  • Best Practice Development and Communication:

  • Develop and share best practice guidelines for digital marketing, especially in communications strategies and marketing automation workflows.

  • Train and guide team members in adopting these best practices.

Experience, skills and professional attributes

Experience Required for the Role

  • Digital Marketing Experience: Proven experience in digital marketing, particularly in a SaaS/B2B subscription-based business model.

  • Large Scale Campaigns: Demonstrable experience in planning and delivering large-scale digital marketing initiatives and campaigns, preferably within a leading B2B brand or organisation.

  • Complex Website Management: Experience in running complex websites and providing comprehensive digital channel management.

  • Lead Generation and SEO/SEM: Solid background in lead generation strategies and extensive knowledge of SEO/SEM.

  • Data-Driven Marketing: Experience in utilising data and insights to drive marketing strategies and decisions.

  • Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms such as WordPress, Google Search Central, Google Ad Manager, Google Analytics and social media platforms like LinkedIn and Twitter.
