Job Title: Solutions Lead

About the Role:

The GWS Enterprise Accounts Sector Solutions Lead will be a key contributor and leader throughout the RFP process. They work closely with Sales Leader to develop winning strategies and overall proposal plan. The Solution Lead will be responsible for organizing and leading the internal process of solution development, such as leading SMEs, regional solutions leaders and solution excellence. They will be highly knowledgeable of CBRE’s global services and products, financially savvy and a strategic thinker to develop winning strategies, superlative solutions and lead world-class teams. The Solutions Lead will be play an active role in growing CBRE’s Real Estate services and Facilities Management outsourcing business globally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with Sales Leader, responsible for solutioning the win, keep, and grow opportunities in integrated Real Estate and Facilities Management outsourcing pursuits.

  • In partnership with Sales Leader, responsible for analyzing and understanding client needs, and developing a successful strategy and plan to meet those needs within the RFP process.

  • Leads internal SMEs and regional solutions leaders to develop the individual service line and regional solutions, in alignment with set win strategy.

  • Leads internal regular workstream process meetings and provides guidance and leadership where needed.

  • Effectively communicates the win strategy and proposal plan internally with SMEs and regional solutions leaders to ensure global consistency and focus throughout the RFP process.

  • Provides guidance and leadership to Solutions Excellence in preparation for RFP response write-ups and alignment to the pursuit win strategy

  • Creates RFP response content for non-service line specific RFP questions.

  • In partnership with Sales Leader and Sector Director, responsible for developing the proposed account management structure and cascading as needed to regional solutions leaders.

  • Collaborates with Commercial Manager, SMEs and regional solutions leaders to reconcile proposed staffing with set solution strategies.

  • Collaborates with Sales Leader and platform SMEs to develop creative and pursuit bespoke solution opportunities.

  • Manages the planning, organization and execution of internal solution workshops.

  • In partnership with Sales Leader, prepare SMEs and other colleagues for formal client engagements throughout the RFP process such as workshops and pitch presentations.

  • Supports Sales Leader and Commercial Managers in preparing for formal internal financial sign-off of the proposal.

  • Strong understanding of each GWS service offering, platform, and value proposition, and the broader CBRE service lines.

  • Builds and maintains a strong internal network with service line leaders and sales & client solutions peers and contribute to continuous improvements and best practices.

  • CoreNet membership and participation in local and regional events desired.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Functional management of SMEs and regional solutions leaders throughout the RFP process

  • Overseeing Solutions excellence deliverables and provides guidance as needed throughout the RFP process

Communication Skills

  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents.

  • Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style.

  • Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups.

  • Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.

  • Comfortable meeting and engaging with new people, internally and externally.

  • Warm and engaging demeanor. Ability to assess circumstances, empathize and offer help to motivate and inspire high performing teams in time pressured work environments.

  • Comfortable and skilled with leading meetings and facilitate workshops including 15+ participants.

Financial Knowledge

· Requires in-depth knowledge of that financial terms and principles critical to our business. Reviews complex financial/business analysis and reports prepared by subordinates. Ability to analyze the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions.

Reasoning Ability

· Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university in Business or related field. 5+ years of consulting or pre-sales solutioning experience; Facilities Management preferred.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

Lean Six Sigma or related Process Improvement capacity preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues. Demonstrated high level of self-direction and decision making. Must be comfortable presenting to senior level client executives.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Demonstrable experience with implementations of Services and/or Software solutions.

Proficient skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PP, Outlook, Project).

Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with dynamic objectives. Willingness to travel extensively and sometimes with short notice.
