To help a growing organization scale features to Prime Video customers, our team is looking for a full stack software engineer to revamp Prime Video's launch planning and analytics platform. You will get the opportunity to work on a critical internal product with attained business validation and greenfield tech projects on the roadmap. We are looking for an engineer that is eager to learn, entrepreneurial, and excited about distributed computing, web development, and data.

Key job responsibilities

Working in a growing engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our team’s long-term technical vision. You will collaborate with team members to architect and build enterprise-scale systems used across the world wide Prime Video organization. You will build features for internal web applications, work on new distributed systems and pipelines to vend data across our analytics platform and other services, and be entrusted with building solutions to elevate the team's operational excellence and monitoring capabilities.

About the team

The Prime Video Content Analytics team is a diverse group of skilled professionals dedicated to developing Software and Business Intelligence products to enable internal stakeholders to plan, configure and track content launches on Prime Video. Amongst others, our work impacts investment decisions for streaming content, the personalization on Prime Video’s storefront, and the digital supply chain of getting content from the studios to the Prime Video app.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

London, GBR

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience (non-internship) in professional software development

  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

  • Experience in working with relational and non-relational databases

  • Experience in building scalable distributed services

  • Experience in working with event driven architectures

  • Experience in working with web development libraries and frameworks

  • Experience designing and deploying Big Data pipelines with tools such as Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce, etc

  • Prior use of AWS or other Cloud technologies at scale in a production environment

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
