AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

The Microsoft Migrations Sales Specialist role has responsibility for driving sales across UK Public Sector customers and is part of the broader AWS World Wide Public Sector Organization.

Key job responsibilities

As part of a single-threaded specialist sales team you will be responsible for working with large strategic WWPS customers and their existing account teams to qualify and pursue sales opportunities for enterprise application workloads and data center migration projects. You will have an aligned specialist solution architect with deep technical knowledge around migrating and running Microsoft workloads on AWS. You will engage with UK PS segment account managers, solutions architects, partner and professional services organizations to drive large and complex opportunities to closure. These opportunities will include migrating Windows Server infrastructure, SQL Server, Exchange, SharePoint or LOB applications to the AWS cloud. Your commitments will include quota accountability, driving platform adoption within UKPS accounts, as well as creating public references. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented, “roll-up your sleeves” environment and requires a passion for innovation, ability to deal with ambiguity as well as an ability to scale and influence broadly.

About the team

The UKPS Specialist Organisation is a team of specialist sales and solution architects who bring deep domain expertise in areas like AIML, Analytics, Data, Security and End-User Computing. The team's mission is to extend our customer's use of AWS offerings from utility compute like EC2 and S3 to higher order services. It also helps with greenfield customer acquisition and has a broad mission to share expertise with field teams and partners. Members of this team are considered to be subject matter experts and are frequently sought after as thought leaders for both internal and external events.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise sales or business development experience with quota accountability and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets year over year.

• Experience in working directly with enterprise customers and partners in the technology space (cloud preferred).

• Fluency with Microsoft Licensing, including License Mobility and Volume Licensing (such as Enterprise Agreements).

• 5+ years of experience selling complex database, data center and cloud technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree

• Experience selling Windows Server, SQL Server or Azure

• Experience with data center migrations

• Experience in working with Public Sector organizations.

• Exceptional organizational, presentation, and writing skills.
