Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Digital Manager to lead our continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function. The successful candidate will be responsible for leveraging the currently existing digital tools and technologies to enhance procurement processes, improve user experience, drive cost savings The Digital Manager will also be responsible for continuously exploring the available solutions in the market to bring best practices and latest solutions in. This role requires a digitally minded, strategic thinker with a strong background in procurement and digital technology.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy in the existing digital capabilities aligned with the Diageo Procurement’s overall digital transformation goals.

  • Identify and evaluate emerging digital technologies and trends that can enhance procurement processes.

Process Optimization:

  • Lead the optimization of procurement processes through digitalization, automation, and data analytics.

  • Implement and manage digital procurement tools in partnership with Digital and Technology teams.

Data Management and Analytics:

  • Utilize data analytics to drive insights and informed decision-making within the procurement function.

  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of procurement data across digital platforms.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and innovation.

  • Implement digital tools to enhance supplier performance management and risk assessment.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Procurement categories, Finance, Global Business Operations, Legal team, Digital and Technology functions, to ensure the best user experience and seamless integration of digital procurement solutions.

  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote digital literacy within the procurement team.

Change Management

  • Be a change agent in Global Procurement function

  • Works with a network of digital champions to build to build a digtally driven Procurement function

  • Ensure best in class user experience with fit for purpose technologies design.

  • Understand process and systems adoption, identify insights and create improvement plans.

Performance Measurement:

  • Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of digital procurement initiatives and related processes

  • Monitor and report on the performance of digital procurement processes, identifying areas for continuous improvement.

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage digital procurement projects from conception to implementation, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.

  • Represent Procurement as functional expert/PM to improve and roll out digital projects, bringing the expertise on Procurement processes and solutions, contributing to the right deliverables.

  • Coordinate with external vendors and consultants as needed for project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in procurement, with a strong focus on digital transformation and technology implementation.

  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, best practices, and digital tools.

  • Proficiency in procurement platforms, spend analysis software, and supplier management systems.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.

  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading digital projects.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) and/or project management (e.g., PMP, Agile ) is a plus.
