About the role:

The Manager FP&A coordinates all day-to-day FP&A-associated duties for Region Global Cocoa and acts as deputy and support to the Head of FP&A Global Cocoa. The role will include a local team management.

Key responsibilities:

  • To lead, plan, organize, and control financial operational activities of the Region Global Cocoa related to month-end closing (actuals reporting) and creation of outlook/forecast

  • Coordination of daily tasks and ad hoc requests between regional FP&A and Group FP&A

  • Support the coordination of the annual budget, including training and coaching the broader FP&A team on tools & processes

  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, systems, and reports, map/define automation opportunities by sharing best practices, and help identify areas new areas to harmonize/standardize

  • Drive development and deployment of standardized tools and processes using the approved solutions (e.g. PowerBI)

  • Act as a sparring partner to the Head of FP&A / FP&A Director, exchange ideas and concepts

  • Solution-oriented with a passion for data integrity and process improvement

About you:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration specializing in finance, accounting, or a similar field.

  • 7+ years of prior work experience in finance/controlling/FP&A.

  • Knowledge of finance tools (SAP and related: BW, BOFC; Tagetik, etc.).

  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • VBA, PowerQuery, PowerPivot, or PowerBI would be an advantage.

  • English business proficiency.

  • Previous exposure to commodities is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of cost accounting and financial reporting structure (important asset).

  • Knowledge of the key performance indicators that drive the organization assessment (working Capital, cash management, direct profit, EBIT, ROIC...).

  • Strong analytical skills; ability to effectively link financial reporting issues with the underlying related economic and financial facts.

  • Involvement in the building up of business cases is an asset.

  • Coordination and organization skills, striking the right balance between pragmatism, timing, and accuracy.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work and collaborate across functions, hierarchies, and cultures.

  • Previous exposure to team management is an asset.

  • Self-motivation, pro-activeness, multi-tasking, and excellent organizational skills.
