Robert Half Senior Systems Administrator in Lockport, Illinois
Description We are on the hunt for a skilled Systems Administrator, based in Lockport, Illinois. The role involves working in the tech industry, where you will be expected to take on a variety of tasks ranging from configuring and troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems to managing the Microsoft 365/Azure environment.
Responsibilities
• Configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting Windows Server 2012, 2016, and 2019 Standard.
• Configuring, installing, and troubleshooting Microsoft Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, NPS, Hyper-V, and other server roles and features.
• Managing File Shares, NTFS file permissions, security groups, and users.
• Configuring and managing the Microsoft 365 / Microsoft Azure Environment.
• Configuring, installing, and troubleshooting Microsoft Office products.
• Configuring, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting company networks and associated hardware.
• Handling low-voltage cabling, with a basic understanding of cable and wire management.
• Providing hardware support for all types of on-site equipment including servers, firewalls, routers, switches, etc. Requirements
• Proficiency in Active Directory is required for managing user accounts and access rights.
• Expertise in Backup Technologies necessary to ensure data safety and recovery.
• Strong knowledge of Computer Hardware is necessary for troubleshooting and repair tasks.
• Familiarity with Configuration Management tools for efficient system maintenance.
• Experience in Deployments is crucial to ensure smooth software and hardware rollouts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Server is essential for managing server environment.
• Competence in Low Voltage Cabling and Cabling for network infrastructure setup and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of O 365 for managing cloud-based applications and services.
• Ability to manage Firewall Configuration to ensure network security.
• Knowledge of Router Switches for efficient network setup and maintenance.
