Summary Statement:
This position is responsible for providing support to business operations through effective management and leadership skills; financial analyses of various manufacturing processes; direction of specific departmental functions; interface with Parent company & Group financial teams; support and implementation of CFO objectives and other company policies and directives.
Nature and Scope:
This position is located at the Lockport manufacturing facility. This position reports directly to the CFO of Toyal America and holds a position on the official Management Committee.
Principal Responsibilities:
Finance & Accounting:
- Periodic/monthly financial reporting, including but not limited to, monthly financial statements, cost/absorption activity, manufacturing variances, capital expenditure and maintenance expense tracking, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, Toyo group reports, finance metrics, business forecasts, etc.
- Ensures product standard costs are a fair representation of actual cost to produce and reflect current process technology utilized. Standard costs are reviewed at least annually and revised within the RAMCO (ERP) software module.
- Prepare annual company business plan encompassing sales information, cost and production estimates, expense budgets, capital expenditure forecasts, cash flow estimates, Toyo presentation, income statement & balance sheet data, detailed manufacturing variance forecasts, etc.
- Provide direction & leadership to the accounting team, to ensure accurate, timely periodic reporting along with guidance for year-end reporting requirements and coordinate audit activity as dictated by outside public accounting firm.
Purchasing Department:
Direct Procurement Specialist to determine financial impact from cost reductions, operational impact from alternate supply sourcing, logistical requirements for raw materials, supplies, maintenance parts and other critical production requirements.
Shipping/Traffic Supervisor:
Direct traffic activity that ensures customer shipment requirements are satisfied; environmental, safety & hazard labeling requirements are achieved; reliable transit sourcing within appropriate cost guidelines is provided; import/export customs reporting and licensing requirements are followed.
Production Planner:
Direct Production Planner to ensure accurate and up to date plant loading, accurate and appropriate inventory levels, strategic materials management, and a consistent approach to inventory valuation. Ensure development of best practices across all aspects of inventory control, production scheduling, and cost management.
