The Staff Accountant handles the month-end close process for assigned areas, which can include inventory, fixed assets, sales & receivables, treasury, and more. Responsibilities evolve over time as part of our career development strategy. This role also involves maintaining internal controls and interacting with auditors.

Regular interaction with peers and cross-functional leadership is expected as we work together to solve problems and drive improvements throughout the company.

Responsibilities

The Staff Accountant will:

  • Perform month-end accounting procedures, including preparation of journal entries.

  • Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts.

  • Interact with stakeholders on inventory levels, billing & collections, cash application, etc.

  • Generate reports for management to aid in decision-making.

  • Coordinate deliverables with auditors, external parties, and leadership.

  • Work on special projects aimed at process improvement and efficiency, including IT initiatives.

  • Assist in the annual budgeting process.

  • Handle various other accounting tasks as needed.

  • Undertake other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA strongly preferred.

  • 1-3 years of experience in public and/or corporate accounting or two internships in related fields.

  • Experience with financial reporting under U.S. GAAP.

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and flexibility.

  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-centric environment.

  • Results-driven mindset and strong analytical skills.

  • Proactive and confident communication abilities.

  • The ability to build cross-functional relationships to achieve goals.

  • Effective time and priority management skills.

  • Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
