Senior Mechanical Engineer for Livonia, MI:
Interact with the customer and understand the scope of work to be done. Conduct input study and scope out the creation of product documentation. Prepare / assist in product documentation such as service and operator manuals, and assembly / disassembly instructions. Scheduling / leading the brainstorming sessions with client as well as the internal team. Create process flow for product documentation and scheduling timelines as per the process flow. Conduct periodic quality check of projects to ensure project requirements before delivery. Prepare / assist / oversee preparation of technical illustrations, color illustrations, mechanical flow diagrams and charts. Support pilot activities for product launch and train technical writing / parts catalog team members. Implement the changes / updates in technical documents according to the requirements. Migrate existing contents to client standards and assist in preparation of animations for owner's guide. Prepare / assist in creation of web-based parts catalog and participate in serviceability study for new models. Author descriptive contents according to standards in product documentation. Resource planning/estimation towards the input received, create process and documentation plan. Ensure deliverables in terms of timing and quality in compliancy with SLA. Ensure accurate, complete and consistent inputs and deliverables for schedule adherence process planning application. Validate the quality of deliverables, prepare and present weekly project status to customer. Develop design change report & submit to client on monthly basis. Quality matrix tracked & identify the training requirements. Develop and maintain technical documentation and project reports.
Master's degree in Production engineering or Mechanical Engineering with 24 months experience accepted or Bachelor's Degree in Production or Mechanical Engineering with five years' experience will be accepted in Lieu of Master Degree, foreign equivalent accepted. 40 hrs a week, must be willing to travel/relocate to client sites.
