Quality Engineer for Livonia, MI:

Responsible for preparing the Quality Assurance check sheets | | and processes for the line / work cells, basis the inputs collected | | from various data sources. Support in CQA (Customer Quality Audit) | | data monitoring and drive countermeasures of the issues reported. | | Responsible in resolving the quality rejects , warranty concerns | | assigned to manufacturing during the various stages of the build. | | Quality work-station analysis (including observations, operator | | feedback, data analysis, best practice studies, etc). Work under the | | quality engineering pillar of World Class Manufacturing (WCM), each | | project is executed under a Kaizen management system. Review and | | approve quality requirements on in development and audit quality | | control documentation like process control plan and checklists for | | compliance. Assess current manufacturing stations and identify | | improvement opportunities of workstations/cells. Collaborate with | | design engineering and manufacturing to optimize design concept as | | appropriate. Support the QE activities as assigned by the launch | | manager from time to time. Drive continuous improvement and develop | | processes and documentation consistent with Lean manufacturing | | standards and requirements related to Quality. Develop and maintain | | technical documentation and project reports. Interact with managers | | to drive improvement in product and process quality-striving for | | "Zero" defects. Responsible to assure and maintain the quality of | | products and processes, including standard procedures. Participate in | | Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Operational risk | | assessment processes to help reduce process deviations. Track | | supplier quality performance measurements for suppliers (KPI's) and | | engaged in supplier performance reviews. | | | | Master's Degree in Industrial Engineer or Engineering Management or | | Mechanical Engineer with two years' experience required, 40 hrs per | | week,  foreign equivalent accepted.
