The Composite Technician Senior will follow engineering and manufacturing specifications to create composite parts. The role will follow the specifications to determine material, temperature and pressure for the parts. The Composite Technician Senior will operate presses, autoclaves and ovens to complete the production cycle and sand and burr the finished surfaces while serving as a subject matter expert for junior composite technicians.

As a Composite Technician Senior, you will be responsible for:

  • Mold Preparation
  • Prepreg and wet layup
  • Curing and demolding of composite parts
  • Examine demolded parts for quality and define any defects
  • Obtain required information from prints, charts, sketches, workorders, documents, verbal communication
  • Use shop mathematics and precision measuring instruments to complete work assignments
  • Verify work performed is per work instruction and meets process and/or engineering specification
  • Routinely move product within manufacturing work area and daily cleaning of the cleanroom area
  • Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process
  • Act as subject matter expert and be a resource to junior composite technicians

To be considered as a Composite Technician Senior, you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8 years of composite experience
  • Ability to use hand tools such as grinders, files and Dremel's
  • Ability to work overtime as needed and have excellent attendance
  • Ability to follow work instructions and work independently
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to assist and mentor junior composite technicians
