Actalent Assistant Project Manager (Construction) in Livonia, Michigan

Description:

We are seeking an experienced PE/Assistant Project Manager to handle a multi-million dollar k-12 project in the metro-Detroit area. This person will assist the PM in supervising and managing all aspects of the construction effort, including day-to-day operations and complex issues. This position reports to the Group VP or President/CEO.

Some Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor subordinates including project engineers, interns, and field staff.

  • Promote and enforce a safe work environment and safe work practices for all self-perform trades, all subcontractors, and the overall construction site. This is key, and will be addressed during screening for this role

  • Implement proactive planning and execution, assertive management, and problem solving skills.

  • Manage the process to ensure project is successfully delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

-Bachelors in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar field

-3 plus years of Construction Project Engineering Experience

-Strong leadership, communication, management, and computer skills (Procore, Bluebeam, P6 software will be brought up).

BONUS;

-Experience working on automotive plant projects (other group with possible need)

-Estimating skills

-7 plus years of PM experience

-Experience on k-12 ground up or renovation projects
