Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk in Livermore, California. This role is pivotal in our financial department, dealing with the processing of payments and the documentation of expenditure by entering invoices into our system. The successful candidate will be working in a collaborative environment, utilizing their skills in accounts payable, check runs, coding invoices, data entry, invoice processing, and Sage 300.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner
• Maintain and update customer credit records
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate actions for delinquent payments
• Handle check run schedules and prepare checks for mailing
• Set up new vendors as needed and request W-9 forms
• Process accounts payable for overhead, equipment, and jobs on a daily basis
• Match packing slips, receipts, and purchase orders to invoices and get necessary approvals
• Verify job and phases from packing slips or other documents received from field to invoice information and purchase orders
• Request lien release from suppliers and subcontractors when payment is made to be sent to the customer.
Requirements
• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience in check runs
• Proficiency in coding invoices
• Strong data entry skills
• Experience in invoice processing
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
