The Senior Accounting Manager will manage the execution of Accounting for the AR, AP, Financial Reporting area including month-end close, internal controls, internal and external audits and the compliance with Company policies and procedures.

Reporting directly to the Director of Accounting, this position will lead a team of multiple individuals and play a key leadership role to ensure CPI provides accurate financial information for investors, lenders, and other internal and external stakeholders. This individual will also work closely with leadership from finance and plant operations, as well as customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

Manage accounting close and reporting processes, including approving monthly journal entries, management reporting packages and account reconciliations. Execute on internal controls and processes designed to effectively address financial reporting risks identified under the Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) program. Oversee timely and accurate execution of key accounting processes, specifically accounts receivable, accounts payable, treasury, payroll, fixed assets, intercompany, leases, prepaid expenses and overall monthly management reporting in accordance with SEC filing timelines. Prepare journal entries related to estimates and management judgements including allowances, reserves and obsolescence; bonus and incentive plan accruals; management fees, transfer pricing and other allocations. Train and develop team members to ensure appropriate understanding and application of accounting guidance and policies and practices. Maintain significant involvement and support of the annual bank audit, internal audit, and external financial statement audit and quarterly reviews, including documentation requests and explanations. Qualifications

Experience with the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and the COSO internal control framework. Demonstrated history of leveraging core financial systems (ERP, HFM, BI, Excel, etc.) and other analytical tools to support meaningful analysis and recommendation. Exceptional management and team building skills; ability to hire, supervise, mentor and train employees. Ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within time constraints. Ancillary Responsibilities: Act as a Subject Matter Expert for system implementations and upgrades, as well as other operational efficiency projects. As needed, produce detailed analyses addressing control deficiencies and perform peers review of internal controls performed by others. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA preferred 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or public company accounting Wide range of general ledger/ERP experience preferred Advanced Excel skills - comfortable utilizing sumif, lookup functions and pivot tables Decision Making Level/Positon Latitude: Able to make decisions and take-action on team's accounting matters in consultation with Director. Position Scope: Accounting Leadership position anticipated to manage the functional areas of the accounting team leading 4-10 employees. Physical Demands: Work is primarily conducted sitting in a remote office environment.
