As a Maintenance Technician you will perform daily checks on plastic injection molding machines and
other production equipment to prevent malfunctions and reduce machine downtime.
Major Responsibilities
- Performs PM\'s, basic repairs, inspections, adjusts and/or replaces worn parts, and documents work performed.
- Performs inventory of supplies used by maintenance department.
- Inspects and maintains electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic components and maintains equipment safety features.
- Performs other plant PM or repairs to include lighting and auxiliary equipment.
- Maintains 5s cleanliness standards.
- Utilizes safety equipment as appropriate for the work being performed.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Skills Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must have at least 5 years of maintenance experience in the manufacturing industry. Injection molding experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to read blueprints, electrical diagrams, and hydraulic schematics.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with excellent time management skills.
- Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to sit, bend and stand for long periods of time and move about the facility for extended periods of time.
