Insight Global Secret Sr. Windows System Administrator in Linthicum Heights, Maryland
Job Description
A client of Insight Global is looking for a Sr Windows System Administartor to join their team. This role involves maximizing performance and efficiency, mentoring junior team members, and managing IT projects. The ideal candidate will communicate effectively with stakeholders, analyze customer requirements, and coordinate vendor quotes. Responsibilities include implementing system enhancements, managing backups, ensuring virus protection, maintaining security compliance, and managing user accounts. Additionally, the candidate will develop technical processes and provide support to other classified programs. Strong leadership, communication skills, and experience in network management are essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining Classified Windows Domains and advanced knowledge in deploying, maintaining, and supporting Microsoft Active Directory (AD). They will be proficient in creating, modeling, and maintaining Group Policy Objects (GPO), administering DNS and DHCP Servers, and managing software update systems such as Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
Compensation: $75/hr. -- 80/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelors degree and 9+ years of experience with system administration
Secret security clearance
8570 compliant Sec+, CASP, CISSP
Experience deploying, maintaining, and supporting in an Active Directory environment
Creating, modeling, and maintaining within Group Policy
Experience with DNS / DHCP server administration
Direct experience using WSUS, SCCM, or similar third-party software updates system administration Experience using Linux
Experience deploying vulnerability scanning tools and remediation
Experience with VMWare virtualization platforms for implementation, migration, and maintenance
Experience mentoring more Jr level system admins null
