We are seeking a motivated RF Test Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing software in C/C++ or MATLAB to automate test fixtures, troubleshooting RF issues, and supporting program meetings to develop root cause and corrective actions. This is an excellent opportunity for an early to mid-career engineer to gain hands-on experience working with both software and hardware in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Program software in C/C++ or MATLAB to automate test fixtures
Develop test software in a Nearfield and Compact Antenna Range
Create software programs to automate tests
Troubleshoot RF issues during tests of advanced antenna systems
Support technicians with troubleshooting and training
Analyze test data and identify early trends
Support program meetings to develop root cause and corrective actions
Collaborate with design engineering for hardware and test improvements
Essential Skills
Experience with C/C++ or MATLAB for software development
Knowledge of antenna systems and RF design
Proficiency with electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and network analyzers
Experience in a lab environment
Additional Skills & Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
1+ years of professional or project-based experience in software development with C/C++ or MATLAB
Hands-on experience with RF design or RF testing with antennas through coursework or projects preferred
Work Environment
The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor Antenna Test Ranges at our BWI campus. Engineers will work with RF design engineers to create test equipment and automated test software for RF products. The environment is mixed, involving lab work and indoor/outdoor ranges. The lab operates 24/7 with multiple shifts to ensure continuous coverage. There is a weekday 1st shift (M-F) opening that requires a Secret Clearance to start and SAP eligibility.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $43.27/hr.
