Union Bank and Trust Company Kansas City Area Sales Manager in Lincoln, Nebraska

Position Summary: The Area Sales Manager promotes indirect lending products throughout the dealer network while cultivating existing dealer relationships, offering additional bank products to dealers, and providing feedback/recommendations to Consumer Lending manager, Underwriting, and Loan Operations.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES RELOCATION TO KANSAS CITY

Essential Functions:

  • Promote indirect lending products throughout the dealer network.

  • Cultivate existing dealer relationships and offer additional bank products to dealers.

  • Visit and/or contact via phone approximately 100-140 dealers monthly and develop key relationships with dealer staff including owners, general managers, and finance managers.

  • Increase loan volume and portfolio outstandings per budgeted expectations.

  • Report on all marketing activities weekly via a call report.

  • Report to management regularly on current market conditions, changes, and recommendations to improve program and dealer/program needs.

  • Gather financial information for floor plan requests; prepare loan presentations (LPS) and present to appropriate committee for approval; obtaining all closing document signatures (new and renewals); complete audits when needed.

  • Be liaison between indirect personnel and the dealer network, and help solve disputes between the bank and the dealership, and communicate with dealership ownership as needed in the cases of fraud, providing deliberate misinformation, or any other dealership issues that may arise.

  • Assist in collection of past due chargebacks and add-on product cancellation refunds from dealerships.  

  • Provide education to dealership staff as needed related to Fair Lending expectations as well as other regulatory requirements.

  • Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required.

  • Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.

  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

  • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned .

    Qualifications:

  • Two-to-four-year college degree or equivalent work experience preferred. 

  • Knowledge of indirect lending and general banking products.

  • Strong consumer and auto lending experience background preferred.

  • Current dealer relationships portfolio preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and in working with other financial software.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle .

    Working Environment:

    Indoor/outside work – will be exposed to outside elements and hazards.

    Considerable standing, walking and traveling required. 

    Occasional lifting and/or carrying up to 25 lbs.
