Diageo Regional on trade executive in Lima, Peru

Job Description :

The purpose of the role is to develop the on trade outside the capital city, developing the brand portfolio and generating disruptive experiences for our consumers.

Market context:

  • The South LAC market is a highly diverse business which includes Peru, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia & Ecuador. This has been identified as a key market for Diageo, given its size, (US$220M NSV with US$70M coming from Peru), complexity and Diageo’s ambition for this geography as a future growth centre.

  • Province concentrates more than 40% of the volume of the on-trade channel nationwide, with the northern region being the most relevant and vibrant.

Decision making:

  • Lead the development of the called of universe assigned both in nor – oriente & Centro sur region.

  • Show great understanding of the channel, its dynamic´s and opportunities.

  • Execute our brands brilliantly by developing experiences according to consumer motivations and occasions.

Financial responsability:

  • Accountable for the management of assigned A&P, Trade Spend dedicated to the clients of the call of universe.

  • Tracking of his or her T&E budget.

Leadership responsability:

  • Lead the commercial management of the called of universe accounts.

  • Align business plans together with clients according to the needs of both parties acting as a strategic partners.

  • A lot of working together with other colleagues and areas.

  • Lead the definition of commercial plans JBP, with the main operators, clients, assigned to the portfolio.

  • Build extraordinary relationships with the owners and staff at each assigned location.

  • Develop the activation plan in conjunction with the CP&A team.

  • Comply with the activation plan by coordinating and supervising the execution in conjunction with the BTL agency.

  • Execute 100% of the minimum execution standards according to the defined segmentation of the on trade channel.

  • Provide solutions to clients needs in administrative issues (Coding, signing, contracts, po´s, billing, etc)

  • Responsible for the DBA agenda at the location in its portfolio, and for managing a team of 4 people based in Trujillo, Chiclayo, Piura and Arequipa.

Key outputs and deliverables:

  • Generate growth and constant evolution in the assigned client portfolio in business metrics such as: Volumen, NSV, Coverage, GM.

  • Analyze on a monthly basis the performance (Sell out, M&E) of the brands and categories in their clients.

  • Responsible of monitoring DBA metrics.

Qualifications and experience required:

Collage Graduate preferred in the careers of business administration, marketing and related careers with minimun 2 or 3 years of experience in similar positions in FMCG companies.

  • Managing third party relationships; outstanding interpersonal skills

  • Excellent Presentation skills.

  • Intermediate level (English)

  • Project and budget management

  • Track record of success in of generating excellent results

  • Knowledge of the market and the consumer.

  • Analitycal skills

Flexible working options:

  • The role is located in Trujillo.

  • This role requires traveling across Peru.

  • Desirable to have a car

  • This role requires availability to visit clients during the night.
