Continental Disc Corporation Sales Applications Engineer in Liberty, Missouri

The Sales Applications Engineer performs the job duties of Inside Sales, plus key account support, product and applications expertise, development of standard work processes and training content for the sales network.

Requirements

· Support rep channel partners and end users, performing all functions of Inside Sales responsibilities.

· Collect and understand end user requirements and preferences to ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction and support.

· Work with Regional Sales Managers and project teams, as needed to collaborate on new project strategies and tactics.

· Collaborate with Engineering to provide voice of customer on cross-functional teams to develop sales tools and processes, as needed.

· Support emergency on-call rotation to provide customer support for 24 hour emergency service approx. 3-4 times per year.

· As needed, travel to key end users, reps or Engineering firms to support corporate sales initiatives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree in business or Engineering

· Prior technical inside sales or process Engineering experience in overpressure relief required.

· Comfortable working in online applications such as ERP, CRM, design systems required.

TECHNICAL / FUNCTION SPECIFIC:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to understand technical documents and specifications, including codes and standards application to pressure relief.

· Skillset in Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word and Access.

· Above average problem-solving skills and customer service skills

· Ability to work with large sets of data for evaluation and reporting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Motor skills sufficient to successfully and safely use required tools and computer equipment.

· Ability to stand and/or walk as needed.

· Using proper lifting techniques, ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

· Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes.

· Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
