Title:
Senior Systems Engineer
KBR is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team supporting PMA-231 Advanced Programs. E-2/C-2 Airborne Command and Control Systems Program Office (PMA-231) is responsible for providing the E-2C Hawkeye, E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, Hawkeye 2000 and the C-2A Greyhound fleet with acquisition strategy, logistics and sustainment solutions in support of the warfighter’s mission.
Role and Responsibilities:
Provides support for research, development, integration and testing of advanced communications/datalinks systems.
Provides system development support will include acquisition documentation development, development of specifications, conduct independent technical analyses, evaluate system documentation, and test analysis.
H andles task-specific questions and engage in advanced problem solving.
Generate plans, technical reports, and briefings to keep the customer informed.
Works closely with the customer and primary contract vendors to ensure requirements are properly implemented.
I nterface daily with government and other contractor personnel in a team environment .
Travel (20-25%) is required for this position.
This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related engineering field from an accredited college or university is required . Master’s degree preferred.
A minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in communications/datalink systems engineering is required.
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A final DoD Top Secret Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years is required.
Must be able to travel as required by contract.
Must be able to work on-site, remote work is not available.
Preferred Experience
Interoperability integration and testing
E-2D Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) and Link-16.
Must be able to work in a dynamic, complex security environment
Excellent written and verbal communications
Proficient in all Microsoft Office products including Project
Professionalism and customer service
