Berks County Conservation District Mosquito-Borne Disease Control Technician and Resource Conservation Technician in Leesport, Pennsylvania
This position is a combination of two positions to make one full-time position with benefits after the 60-day introductory period.
Mosquito-borne Disease Control Technician
General Statement of Duties: Responsible for implementing mosquito control, tick surveillance, and Education and Outreach activities regarding Integrated Mosquito Management (IMM) throughout Berks County. Key duties include fieldwork, data collection and entry, mosquito control activities, and coordination with neighboring counties and Pennsylvania (PA) Department of Environmental Protection staff.
Resource Conservation Technician
The individual holding this position is a member of the Resource Conservation team. This Team is responsible for implementing several state-delegated regulatory programs. Those programs include Chapter 92 (NPDES), Chapter 102 (Erosion Control), and Chapter 105 (Dam Safety and Waterway Management). In addition, the Urban Resource Conservationist is responsible for ensuring that the required output measures are achieved in accordance with the delegation agreements. The Urban Resource Conservationist is supervised by the District Manager.
