Electrical Controls Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Technician to join our team. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and control systems to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. The position is available for 1st Shift (5 am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday) and 2nd Shift (3 pm to 12:30 am, Monday to Friday).
Responsibilities
Perform all work in conformance with safe work practices, including lockout/tagout procedures.
Promote a strong teamwork environment.
Demonstrate self-motivation in learning new technologies.
Work independently and communicate effectively with operators, mechanics, engineers, supervisors, and plant leadership.
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
Diagnose and correct malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools.
Connect to a PLC, read basic ladder logic, and perform basic PLC programming.
Backup and manage machine software.
Follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, reading electrical schematics/blueprints.
Work under pressure to diagnose problems.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
Complete necessary job work orders and paperwork/computer work as needed.
Document work that results in changes to parameters, circuits, components, or configurations for future reference.
Skills & Qualifications
Technical school degree or certificate program preferred.
Strong understanding of electrical theory and safety (NFPA 70E).
Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of equipment based on industrial process controls and PLCs.
Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $58240.00/yr.
