Job Title: Machinist - Level 3
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Machinist with expertise in operating both CNC and Manual Lathe machines. You will be responsible for running up to 30 different parts daily, primarily overseeing the manual operations of a lathe. The role involves working with tight tolerances, performing quality inspections, and utilizing overhead cranes, hoists, mills, CNC equipment, and various other machining principles. You will be machining large industrial equipment where quality is of utmost importance.
Responsibilities
Operate and program CNC Machining equipment to make and/or repair a variety of components.
Run manual lathe for various machining tasks including drilling, cutting, tapping, threading, and grinding.
Use blueprints to make a variety of components.
Perform quality inspections using measurement devices such as micrometers and gauges.
Follow all safety rules and perform housekeeping functions.
Operate overhead cranes and hoists.
Perform other assignments as directed by the department.
Essential Skills
Experience with both Manual and CNC Machining
Proficiency in operating lathe and mill machines
Ability to work with tight tolerances
Experience with quality measurement devices such as micrometers and gauges
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with crane and hoist operation
Knowledge of machining principles
TIG welding experience (a plus, but not required)
Not afraid to perform welding tasks

Work Environment
The shop is non-climate controlled and well-kept, though working on mining equipment can make it dirty. We offer flexible shift options: first shift or second shift (3:30 pm - 12:00 am, Monday through Friday, with a $0.75 shift differential). Overtime is voluntary initially and then mandated if necessary. Anything over 8 hours is paid at 1.5x, Saturdays at 1.5x, and Sundays at 2x pay.

The pay range for this position is $45240.00 - $55827.20/yr.
