The Quality Assurance Technician supports the company's commitment to food safety and quality by monitoring and verifying production parameters in accordance with established Quality programs. The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and providing feedback for quality continuous improvements. The QA Technician will collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and support audit readiness. Monday - Friday / Some Weekends When Needed 8:00 am - 4:30 pm What you need to join our team: Ability to walk, stand, bend and lift up to 50 lbs. Ensure all documentation, including Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and production records, are accurate and maintained up-to-date. Review food safety documentation in a timely manner. Drive root cause analysis for non-conforming products and follow-up on corrective actions. Assist in maintaining GMP compliance and participate in internal audits to ensure food safety and quality standards. Support adherence to the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) program, making updates as necessary. Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to resolve non-conformities and drive quality improvement initiatives. Develop and deliver training to employees on GMPs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Conduct and document plant verifications which may include sanitation evaluation, and equipment inspections. Ensure compliance to pre-requisite programs, such as pest control, sanitation, and allergen management. Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality systems, including HACCP, GMPs, and food safety protocols. Our cheese facility produces various types of cheese, including cheddar, monterey jack, asiago, fontina, parmesan and romano. Our ingredients facility runs various whey streams, including; whey protein isolate (WPI), whey protein concentrate 34 (WPC 34), whey protein concentrate 80 (WPC 80) and both pharma and food-grade lactose.
