Software Engineer - (employer: Sirius XM Radio Inc.; job location: Lawrenceville, NJ) - Build and deliver software-based services on our connected car software platform, helping transform the existing platform from an on-premise, monolithic, closed architecture system to a modern, open, microservices, cloud-based system. Work with software development team in an agile environment, and help create, extend, and maintain the core of the connected car software platform. Adhere to rules established to enforce test-driven/behavior-driven development by maintaining wiki pages, code styles, and code group/peer reviews. Develop, maintain, and debug cloud-based microservice APIs. Troubleshoot pre-and post-production issues in multiple development languages and platforms. Requirements: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, or Computer Engineering plus three years of experience in the offered position or as software developer or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, or Computer Engineering plus five years of post-Bachelor's progressive experience in the offered position or as software developer. All required experience must have included developing software in multiple development languages and platforms (Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Angular, Bootstrap, python) to deliver multiple commercially deployed products to market; utilizing Scrum or Kanban; applying Cloud development and deployment best practices on AWS (ECS, EC2, ECR, Lambda, VPC, S3, and IoT); working with Linux, HTTP, REST, JSON and IP technologies; managing big data with data-driven applications and technologies; developing software in Agile workflow utilizing TDD/BDD best practices in continuous integration environment; working within Git/Gitflow-based multi-branched software environment; and utilizing Atlassian Development Suite (Confluence, Jira, and BitBucket), Microsoft Office Suite (Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel). #LI-DNI This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our Lawrenceville, NJ office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location.
