Responsibilities
Follow all Corporate, Plant, and Department rules and regulations.
Reflective Vests are Required. Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for other designated areas.
Maintain a clean, orderly and safe working environment.
Daily inspection and care of equipment.
Learn and understand applicable computer software programs.
Communicate with other departments.
Operate yard tractor.
Operate company truck.
Complete all required training courses.
Complete all other duties as assigned.
Work weekends and/or overtime as assigned..
Any other jobs asked of them.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Able to work in high stress environment.
Problem solving and initiative skills
Sufficient skills in applicable computer software.
Good communication skills / team oriented.
Good time management skills.
Able to follow instructions and work without supervisions
Valid Class A Commercial drivers license.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Climate controlled tractor cab when driving.
Exposure to year-round weather conditions for our location while inspecting, connecting & disconnecting trailers.
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Operating a tractor.
Description: Seated and operating the tractor controls including but not limited to the steering wheel, accelerator, brake, clutch, gear shift and lift levers while navigating the road, parking lot and docks..
Frequency: Entire shift except break times and while inspecting or switching trailers.
Variable based on the location the trailer is being moved to.
Entering and exiting the tractor cab
· Description: Climbing up and down, entering and exiting the tractor.
· Frequency: Up to 50 times per shif.
