South Central Regional Medical Center OPERATING ROOM TECHNICIAN in Laurel, Mississippi
Graduate of an accredited or approved school of Surgical Technician. Must be able to read, write and understand written and verbal communication. Quality of Work
Assist in the implementation of delegated patient care activities according to the individual’s level of education, training, and demonstration of competency.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide care.
Ensure positive response to the patients’, physicians’, and team members’ needs.
Function under supervision of RN.
Assist in preparing room, instruments, and equipment peri-operatively.
Perform in the scrub nurse role.
Quantity of Work Consistently demonstrates appropriate quantity of work as evidenced by:
Completing all assigned duties.
Accepting additional assignments willingly; delegating functions according to needs of the unit and staff.
Adapting to change and prioritizing work.
Assisting staff members to complete tasks in a timely manner.

Completes Health Stream assignments in a timely manner.

Assisting with orientation of staff members and the teaching of students as needed.

Participates as a preceptor as needed.
Attendance & Reliability Demonstrating attendance and reliability as evidenced by:
Willing to adjust personal schedule in case of a real department need (work late, work extra shift).
Being on time and ready to work at the start of the shift.
Rotating shifts as required including weekends and holidays.
Utilizing ID badge to clock in and out.
Attending work with minimal occurrences.
