Job Summary
JOB SUMMARY
Assists with planning, organizing, and implementing administrative and operational activities for the business office.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to type 30 WPM
Prefer
1 year experience in healthcare related field, computer skills, filing skills, telephone communication skills, scheduling application skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, perform overhead lifting and perform other common physical movements as needed for the position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / ASSIGNED TASKS
Answer the telephone and distribute information
Assist families, doctors, visitors, etc. with concerns and questions
Type and post memos as requested
Assist in ordering supplies for business office and other departments
Accept and sign vendor correspondence
Fax reports and forms to various departments as assigned
Assist in Survey Preparation
Process check requests, invoices, capital expenditures, requisitions, travel expenditures, etc
Send interoffice correspondence to various departments
Distribute employee mail
Perform employee filing
Maintain updated employee contact information
Receive payment for services and post to account, review payments and make adjustments as required
Dispense resident funds per facility protocol
Assist in taking waiting list applications
Assist with new admission process as assigned
Assist with business office monthly reports as assigned
Balance Petty Cash
Filing as assigned
Process discharged resident charts in a timely manner
Ensure timely communications with Human Resources department as assigned
Prepare time and attendance reports and Process Payroll
Prepare and submit staffing data reports to ensure regulatory compliance
Prepare Call Calendars for Administrator on Call and Maintenance Personnel on Call
Manage and post Conference Room Meeting Schedule
Compose and mail out care plan letters
Ensure all licensed staff maintain a current license on file
Assemble orientation packets for new employees and complete assigned task
Complete Designating Agent forms for new nursing staff
Perform other job duties and tasks as assigned
