The successful candidate for the Traffic Control Plan Drafter position will draw traffic control plans for Clark County, NV., and submit the entries for approval.

What You'll Do

  • Draw traffic control plans for Clark County, NV

  • Submit the entries for approval

  • Utilizing computer software such as: RapidPlan (preferred) to draw traffic control plans

  • Computer literate in: Excel, Word and Outlook

  • Occasionally go out in the field to do meets and verifying jobs

  • Perform other tasks as requested by leadership

What You'll Have

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Valid U.S. Drivers License in good standing

  • Minimum 5 years traffic control experience (preferred)

  • RapidPlan experience, 1 to 2 years (preferred)

  • ATSSA Certification (preferred)

  • Provides leadership and direction to traffic control technicians

  • Rendering hands-on assistance where applicable

  • Strong interpersonal, team-oriented skills

  • Self-motivation and direction, with a strong attention to detail towards timely performance and problem resolution

  • Strong Communication skills, written and oral

  • Quality and accuracy are critical

  • Good organizational skills and the ability to understand the NPL business model

Work Environment

  • Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions

  • All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English

  • Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling

  • Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment

  • Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Legal Stuff

  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

  • Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify

  • Valid driver’s license with no more than 3 moving violations and no DUIs within a two year rolling period

  • Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
