Prairie View Village Assisted Living Resident Care Associate in Las Animas, Colorado
POSITION: Resident Care Associate
DUTIES: * Assist the PVV Coordinator in developing and implementing neighbor-centered activities and programs. * Provide support with activities of daily living, including dressing, personal hygiene, and mobility assistance. * Assist with physician-ordered medication distribution and administration. * Observe and report changes in neighbors physical and emotional conditions. * Deliver neighbor mail as needed. * Conduct room checks and ensure a safe and clean environment. * Escort neighbors to dining areas, events, and external transportation as needed. * Maintain cleanliness in common areas, including vacuuming, trash removal, and laundry assistance. * Assist with dining-related tasks, such as setting and cleaning tables and serving meals. * Participate in activities planning and execution within the care center. * Follow all state and federal regulations regarding safety and reporting. * Attend required meetings and training sessions. * Maintain professional relationships with staff, neighbors, and visitors. * Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS: * Must be certified in First Aid, CPR, and QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Personnel). * High school diploma or equivalent. * Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English. * Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Must comply with infection control, sanitation, and fire safety standards.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: * Ability to maintain professionalism through dress, speech, and behavior. * Commitment to respecting neighbors rights and maintaining confidentiality. * Willingness to work beyond normal hours in case of emergencies. * Ability to handle emotionally challenging situations with residents.
PREFERRED SKILLS: * Experience in assisted living or healthcare settings. * Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. * Demonstrated ability to foster a community-oriented environment.
WAGE: $15 - $19 per hour
SHIFTS: Multiple shifts available,
