Job Summary and Qualifications

Radiology Technologist

Weekend availability is necessary for consideration.

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist for a full-time, weekends role. You will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnoses and treatment and perform procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.

Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist may include:

  • You will possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures.

  • You will obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated

  • You will select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated.

  • You will prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated.

  • You will document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.

  • You will maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist.

  • You will check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies.

Qualifications:

  • 2-year/Associate degree

  • ARRT certification

  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health CRT licensure

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting

  • Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
