Job Purpose
The Compliance Analyst is responsible for the monitoring of policies and procedures to ensure the Company's compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate compliance initiatives, and providing support for Jackson's Compliance Program. The Compliance Analyst will complete assigned tasks and participate in various projects as requested by management.
The Compliance Analyst, Regulatory Interactions provides support to the Senior Compliance Consultants and Senior Compliance Analyst. The Compliance Analyst assists the team by assisting with responses to regulatory requests and filings, including assembling documentation and information.
Essential Responsibilities
Performs reviews to ensure compliance with relevant financial industry regulations.
Gathers information and research and prepares responses to inquiries from internal stakeholders about regulatory requirements.
Prepares and submits regulatory filings, under the direction of superiors.
Remains current on relevant regulatory matters.
Participates in processes and projects as requested by management.
Assists with weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting.
Works with various business units, third-party administrators, and coinsured clients to obtain information requested by regulators.
Assists with responses and correspondence with regulators.
Assists with procedural changes and remediations, as a result of regulatory exam findings, as it relates to third-party administrators.
Assists with the gathering, review, and submission of the NAIC Market Conduct Annual Statement for third-party administered business and coinsured clients with third-party administrators.
Assists with onsite and desk audits of third-party administrators.
Assists with the review and implementation of new laws and regulations with ab emphasis on third-party administered business.
Assists with the preparation of state reports for third-party business and coinsured clients.
Performs reviews to determine impact on company procedures.
Demonstrates superior characteristics in terms of quality work product, dependability, attitude, and overall willingness to contribute to team goals.
Attends meetings with stakeholders as requested.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to understand regulations applicable to Jackson, including state and federal regulations.
Knowledge of insurance and/or financial industry regulations.
Detail oriented, organized, thorough and persistent.
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors and colleagues.
Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
Ability to multi-task and be flexible.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Access, Outlook, Excel).
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working knowledge of project management and reporting systems.
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
2+ years of relevant professional experience (insurance, financial services, compliance, legal, etc.) required.
Life and health insurance and/or compliance experience preferred.
Industry licenses, such as SIE, Series 6/7, or other life insurance licensing preferred.
