Award winning team with exceptional work environment. *Six Paid Statutory Holidays after 90 days probationary period. *One Week Paid Vacation Bonus after six months / 1960 regular hours. *Weekly pay by direct deposit. *Performance Reviews (and compensation reviews) Responsibilities: * Formulate to optimize products to meet productivity goals of the Automotive Coatings OEM market segment that reflect quality and meet customer requirements. * Support product development via coordinating, conducting and evaluating experiments in relation to the physical or chemical aspects of coatings. * Identify technical problems and difficulties with materials, both internally and at customer sites, and recommend modifications based on knowledge, literature and previous experience. * Assists in the formulation process to communicate technical information using standard formats and archiving methods. * Uses experimental design, research, analysis and interpretation of data to resolve feasibility/efficacy of proposed solutions. * Performs laboratory tests to produce reliable and prioritizes data using spreadsheets or other software to compile and summarize into graphical summaries and reports. * Performs housekeeping, 5S and follows safety procedures, in order to maintain a stocked, organized, safe and efficient lab and work environment. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree * 1+ years' relatable experience preferred. * Uses critical thinking to identify, implement, develop and/or improve test methodologies and/or processes. * Experience with experimental design (DOE), formulation, root cause analysis, and problem solving. * Ability to operate technical equipment safely, such as with mixers, pH meters, viscometers, calipers, etc. * Excellent written and oral communication skills (both one-on-one and group settings) * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other required software programs.
