Job Title: Site Lead, Jefferson County Employment and Training Program (JET) Department: Center for Opportunity Rehabilitation and Employment Reports To: Site Coordinator Location: 1515 Dover Street, Lakewood, CO. 80215 Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm, some weekends and evenings FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Salary: $20 - $23 per hour Schedule: 40 hours per week Updated: November 17, 2023 MISSION We seek to create hope, opportunity, and choice, with work as the means through which people with disabilities and other hurdles to employment can more fully participate in the mainstream of life. For over 50 years Bayaud Enterprises has been an innovator in the community in reducing hurdles for individuals to engage in the workforce and attain self -reliance. We do this through personalized Employment Services, Social Enterprises (Business Solutions) which provide employment for those needing supported employment, and Individual and Community Services like providing free laundry with the Laundry Truck and support in finding housing and accessing different resource programs through the help of our Navigators. We create Hope, help to find Opportunities, and inspire Choices. DEPARTMENT Bayaud Enterprises partners with Jefferson County to conduct outreach and recruitment for a job readiness, employment, and training (JET) for individuals and families experiencing homelessness and/or affected by COVID that are not currently engaged in other community programs. The overall purpose of this program is to provide paid Day Work Experiences, support services and job readiness and up skilling that may lead to employment in the c SUMMARY JET program engages in routine seasonal labor and maintenance of Jefferson County parks and creek beds and other city/private sites to include maintaining flower beds, weeding, removing trash, cleaning facilities, removing graffiti, painting, irrigation and working with the public. The Site Lead is an integral part of the program who will focus on facilitating work crews on site, ensuring the completion of work on job sites, managing crisis interventions if needed, and connecting participants to proper referrals as needed. The Site Lead position will oversee all job site activities; ensuring that participant workers are trained appropriately for their site (ie. personal safety, use of equipment, body mechanics, PPE, reporting of accidents/injuries, etc.). This position ensures that the logistics of the sites are managed (transportation, food, equipment). The Site Lead drives the van and is responsible for keeping it clean and disinfected after each workday and assists with daily payout. Work is performed under general supervision of Bayaud's Site Coordinator, and in coordination with the Intake Coordinator, Clinical Employment Specialists and Case Manager. Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES Engage and safely facilitate a small work crew (up to 6 people) of unhoused population in Jefferson County daily outside work: weeding, picking up trash, removing graffiti, trimming branches, etc. Develop a good rapport with of unhoused population and understand their hurdles to employment, caused by or exacerbated by personal experiences of poverty and homelessness. Provide positive rehabilitation supports and mentorship to of unhoused population who may also experience significant disabilities. Establish and maintain positive relationships and coordination with staff from Jefferson County departments to identify locations to work and possible individuals to outreach. To ensure tasks can be completed. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Drive the company vehicle daily to and from meeting area to the work site. Clean and disinfect the vehicle and work tools daily after each workday. Assist in on-boarding participants in preparation to work. Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality customer service. Provide mentorship, advocacy, and rehabilitation support of unhoused population. Provide excellent customer service to our participants, business partners and County partners. Observe, compare, or monitor data, objects, and people's behavior to determine compliance with prescribed safety and operating standards, and make decisions about their ability to participate in certain activities or whether they need additional training.
