Overview

The Job in a Nutshell:

The AP Support position p rovides accounts payable support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. This position is fully on-site and requires 100% of the time to be spent working from the SSC Lakewood office.

Responsibilities

Main Ingredients:

  • Responsible for vendor maintenance a.) Ensure vendor information is current in the system

  • Reviews and follows up on vendor statements

  • Performs a variety of clerical duties and accounts payable support activities such as: a.) Performs Accounts Payable research b.) Pulls invoices for audit support c.) Matches invoices to checks and verifying accuracy d.) Fills vendor invoices, including invoices and payment summaries e.) Maintains vendor files and file rotation to the warehouse f.) Works on special projects

    This person will also serve as the backup for the receptionist, with responsibilities outlined below:

  • Answers and directs incoming calls in a friendly, professional and hospitable manner

  • Provides callers with information such as company address, directions to the Store Support Center location, company website and other related information

  • Greets and announces visitors to the Store Support Center

  • Opens, sorts and distributes the mail

  • Date stamps invoices and prepares for pickup

  • Performs a variety of clerical duties such as: a.) Audit of store closeouts b.) Reconcile daily paperwork from the stores

    Although this is a general outline of job responsibilities all employees are expected to be “hands on” and do whatever it takes to get the job done and make the company thrive.

Qualifications

Recipe for Success:

  • High school diploma or GED is required

  • Possesses excellent phone etiquette and is customer service driven

  • Possesses exceptional interpersonal communication skills

  • High level of reliability – comes to work on time and follows schedule requirements

  • Possesses strong organizational skills with attention to details

  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments

  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
