Molecular Epidemiology, Inc. Laboratory Calibration Technician (Seattle, WA) in Lake Forest Park, Washington

IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Laboratory Calibration Technician position at its facility in Seattle, WA. Ideal candidates will possess the following: • A high school diploma or GED (required); an associate's or bachelor's degree in the scientific field (preferred) • Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Excel, Outlook, Word) • Punctual, respectful, and honest, with a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly • Efficient communication and data management skills • Excellent attention the detail • Good organizational and prioritization skills • Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory Laboratory Calibration Technician duties include: assisting the QA team with the calibration of equipment (including balances, pipettes, temperature control devices, etc.); data entry; inventory control; daily check on equipment, and other tasks as assigned. The pay for this position is $21.00 hourly. This is a full-time position eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, 401(k), health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 6 paid holidays per year. The laboratory operates weekends, so candidates must be willing to work occasional weekends.
